This song touches my heart so much whenever I hear it. I really feel this way about Carlos. I met him 10 years ago and I didn't know right away he was the one, I was young back then and still finding my way. He was somewhat of a challenge for me, he wasn't ready for a relationship when I was or atleast thought I was. So I moved on once someone else came along and had the qualities I wanted at the time and that's when Carlos thought it was finally time for a relationship. I broke his heart and moved on with the new person I had met. Carlos and me kept in touch and he always looked for me when he was feeling down and needed someone to talk to, I was his confidant even back then... :) I called him too when something bad happened and I needed to hear his reassurance or advice about serious decisions. The relationship I was in was headed no where and I slowly realized I was wasting my time with someone that just wasn't meant for me. Carlos and me started hanging out more and it was very easy to end my failed relationship at that point. I'm glad it failed, I'm glad I was able to walk away and start a great relationship with Carlos, the love of my life. He's really helped me be a better person and he says the same about me. We both really do bring the best out of each other. After each new hurdle we cross this love just keeps growing stronger. I hope our marriage is always this great. We have our bad days don't get me wrong, there is no such thing as a perfect relationship. As long as the good outweighs the bad and we can learn from our mistakes and we aim to please one another the marriage will be fine. :)

Christian's Paisley Bedding Ordered!!
I'm so happy today we bought my sweet lil baby his green and brown bedding and accessories! I cannot wait to put it all up in his nursery soon!! I got a great deal with JCPenney today, I got 30% and free shipping (thank you Vicky for suggesting I call JCPenney and ask for both promo codes to be used!! I feel really good about this purchase!!). I had registered for this stuff, but I figured we'd get it ourselves and at a great price instead of just hoping to get it at the shower. It's only available online anyways and not most people will buy online items. My baby is already so blessed and spoiled. I will enjoy every moment of spoiling my baby, he deserves it, all sweet innocent babies deserve spoiling. He will have 2 wonderful parents who will love him dearly forever and ever and try to protect him the best we can.

Blankie from 1980 or 1981
This is a VERY special blankie...My mom just recently gave it to me. She bought it when she was expecting me back in either 1980 or 81 (year I was actually born in). I was a summer baby and didn't get much use out of it. Too bad she can't remember what store she bought it at, there is no tag on it or she took it off years ago. It's an off white color and Christian will look sooooo adorably warm and comfy in it, we can't wait! I'm sooooo appreciative of my mom for keeping this blankie for all these years and waiting to give it to me NOW. Just thought about it, she could have saved herself a baby shower gift and waited to give it to me at the shower! haha My mom is the best, she's so thoughful and kind. I've got the best mommy ever and I hope that Christian will one day feel the same way about ME!

My Weekend Shopping Aftermath
Elephant shoes for $2something!!
Adorable newborn knit booties, I have them in cream color too, but larger (6-12months). We bought the cream ones in SA when I was just 5 weeks pregnant and had no idea if we were having a boy or a girl...Boy has time just flown by!! I'm so excited that he's almost here with us!
My only find @ resale shop I hit with my bumpie friend, Julie this past Saturday. Thanks Julie for getting this for my sweet lil Christian. I can't wait to see him in it! I saw the exact same one, only in a cream color @ babyGap for $22 or $29!! Pshhh, I could NEVER pay full price, mine was a bargain @ $5!
My $1 find @ Target...too bad they only had 1. I'm DONE shopping for Christian, it's now Conner's (Bumpie's baby) and Anthony's (Vanessa's baby) turn!
Cute lil monkey outfit from Gymboree. I love how you can fold/tuck lil hands in the sleeve to avoid scratching. This was a great find too, only $3.75!

28 Weeks
Hmmm maybe Ieshia is right...maybe I do look like Vicky with my glasses! :) I never really see a resemblence, but some people actually tell me we look a like. I always think me and Oralia look the most alike. Look at that belly!!! Christian is popping out my belly OR is it the cupcakes? LOLIt's FRIDAY!! :)
Woohoo, I made it through another week! I live for the weekends! So this morning I carpooled with my mom, made it to the gym at 635-640ish and had plenty of time to work out and shower. I really enjoyed not being rushed, so we'll leave my house at 6am when we do carpool. My mom is still NOT comfortable driving on HOV lane and in my usual traffic conditions so she has me driving.
Today is day 1 of iron and vitamin D. I had my glass of V8 this morning and I'll have another this evening. Let's see how this iron affects me, if at all...
I'm feeling Christian moving a lot this morning. My sweet lil baby...I had another dream of him last night, it's kind of fuzzy, the dream, NOT Christian! lol I just remember seeing him standing tall about 1 to 2yrs old and he had a BIG head/face and he looked like my dad and my uncle (Tio Kiko)! lol I'm hoping for a mini Carlos or a mini Roxy!! haha I was complaining about my face looking really BIG like a pancake in our company pictures, wonder if that influenced my dream last night! Who knows!!
Yesterday me and Carlos went to Chick fil A for dinner and omgoshhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was so delicious!! I could eat it again today! I had the new spicy chicken sandwich (we had coupons), their fantanstic waffle fries (why did I ask cashier 2 or 3x if LARGE was the largest size available?) and Carlos and me shared a cookies and cream milkshake. I enjoyed every bite of it! After dinner we went to Walmart for a few groceries, vitamins for the both of us, and picked up a clear storage tote with some green accent to it that we'll need as our time capsule for the baby shower. Next on my list is to find a dress. I ordered some from Target online, but I did not like them, a green one was not my correct size and doesnt flatter me, and a brown one is just too plain. I don't really want cotton material, I'd prefer something dressier. I've had my eye on one at Motherhood Maternity, but the only problem is that it is BLUE and not one of the shower colors, brown or green. That is my last resort though...I hope I find a beautiful dress soon...
Speaking of baby shower...last night on our drive home after Chick fil A we see a fire going on at the splash pad right next to my baby shower place, the community center. So I told Carlos to turn around and stop. We saw a lady on her cell phone and assumed she was placing the call to the fire department so we just stayed in our car and watched, the fire was in a trashcan. Soon after someone stopped by who had a fire extinguisher and Carlos got out of the car to assist in case they didn't know how to use it. Fire was put out and then the fire truck got there so we left. I'm glad it was contained in just the trash can and didn't affect anything else. I'll have to stop by soon and see how the area looks.
Can't wait to enjoy the weekend!! Today I don't have any plans, probably just dinner with Carlos. Tomorrow I have a shopping date with my bumpie friend, Julie. We are going to hit The Rice Village and lunch has already been confirmed! LOL La Madeline! I love it there! We both don't need to be shopping, we're both overloaded with clothes already! haha We'll see what kind of trouble we get into tomorrow! It's always fun to shop with another bargain finder and preggo! I can't wait! Sunday we're going to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday. We had talked about burgers, but he asked that Carlos make some of his famous brisket so that's what we'll do then! My dad is soooooooooo picky so for him to request it was kind of shocking, he must really like it. Can't wait to enjoy the weekend! xoxo

BabyGap Rocks!!!

I love Carlos in waffle thermal shirts like this so Christian will be looking like daddy in it! Same print newborn sweat pants with cute knee pad reinforcements.
Camo print cargo shorts and my favorite find at Gap, jeans with a guitar on them! Christian will be my future lil musician! LOL He is going to look so cute in these jeans. Glad I waited for them to hit the clearance rack. All my Gap finds were off the clearance racks, that's how mommy rolls!! :)

We Made it to 7 Months!
Lil Christian is almost here! I can't wait to see him, hold him, kiss him and just spoil the mess out of him! I can't believe how fast time has really flown by. I've had a great pregnancy, the good days outweighed those few bad days I'd like to forget about! haha
Sunday night I had my first dream about Christian. I dreamed he was in his playpen bassinet (that we are def getting) in our master bedroom closet and he was face down (I know he shouldnt be in that position though) and as I went to go check on him he woke up. I caught a glimpse of him and I saw a lot of dark hair and it looked straight, def not curly and my baby had put tape over his mouth! I remember asking him why he had done that and I took it off, but thats all I got! I didn't even really see his face. I'm soooo ready for him, he's going to love us just as much as we love him. I hope to have a cute happy well-behaved and of course healthy baby!
So, we can't stop spoiling him with clothes! After Carlos' appointment yesterday we hit Town and Country shopping center and hit BabyGap (finally used my groupon offer), Carters (finally saw it, I had never seen it until Vicky told me about it) and Gymboree (Vicky's fave!). I know girl stuff is adorably cute, but my lil boy will be dressed cute too, he's going to be my mini-Carlos. Just like I dress Carlos, I will be dressing Christian! Can't wait to see our lil family complete with Christian in our home!!!
Great news, today I found out I passed my glucose test!! Woohoo, I was kinda worried about that since diabetes runs in my family. I passed with a 116 glucose level, under 130 is what we were aiming for! My iron level was low so Dr. Peterson recommends OTC iron supplement with vitamin C (to avoid constipation) so we'll go to Walmart tonight and find one. I've been drinking V8 lately so I'll be sure to keep that up and maybe even 2 glasses a day instead of just one in the am.
So today I carpooled with my mom and we'll do it again on Friday. We left my house at about 620 and I got dropped off at 7am, traffic was a lil heavy, we're going to try for 6am on Friday. Tomorrow my mom has a dr's appointment so thats why we can't do it tomorrow. Carpooling is good, but my mom wants me to drive her truck! LOL I told her the point of carpooling is so that I don't have to drive!! She hates driving period, but especially with a lot of traffic so thats why I said we'll try earlier. I can get to work super early and have plenty of time to work out, shower and get ready for work.
