24 Weeks and 5 Days

I love this dress my mom got me for my bday back in May...It's pretty flowy so I couldn't wear it until now...It's just PERFECT. It fits a lil tight in the chest area, I guess I am growing up here :). Yesterday evening as I tried hopelessly to listen to baby's hearbeat with my doppler monitor I was pressing down on my belly with the monitor and I either excited or upset my lil baby because he started kicking! It was amazing..and went on for about 2-3 minutes. I even laid on my back and watched my belly bounce/jiggle as he was kicking...I feel bad Carlos wasn't able to see it, but I'm sure he'll see many more moments like that. Carlos is working nights this week and I won't see him until Friday when I get home from work. I miss him when he's away from me, but I think it helps our relationship, the missing part always makes us appreciate each other more.

My drink crave has been ICE COLD milk and/or chocolate milk. It just tastes sooooo good to me! I put the milk in the freezer for about 10min before I plan to drink it and it just goes down so smooth. I've been drinking 2% milk for the longest time now, I can only imagine how RICH whole milk is! I need to get the Borden chocolate milk that comes only in whole milk and enjoy that real soon.

FYI I weighed in yesterday and my total weight gain is 17 lbs.

Baby's Room BEFORE

So this Sunday I really started to make a dent in sorting out all the JUNK I have in my baby's room. I'm such a hoarder. I just want to organize stuff in a plastic totes and get them into attic asap!! I can't wait to clean up my baby's room and put his clothes in the closet and bring in his furniture.

Thanks Erin for all this boy clothes!!! :) My baby is set!!

I'm actually missing some clothes in this light colored pile and I added some I bought at garage sales and thrift store. I still need to wash the dark colored stuff Erin gave me. I have now learned to wash light colored separate from dark colored even in cold water the dark colors smear on the light stuff. I have this cute gown outfit that I kinda/sorta ruined because it's white and got washed with dark stuff. He'll still wear it, but I was so upset I messed up the color, I even tried to soak it and rewash it! haha Lesson learned for sure!!

Friday!

Yesterday was my 24 week appointment and it went well because I have the best dr ever!! I couldn't have asked for a better dr to be guiding me during this pregnancy! I shared my concern about jacuzzi and she assured me baby should be fine, but not to do it again. She shared how she had been in one early in her pregnancy when she didn't even know she was pregnant and her daughter is fine. We were able to hear baby's heartbeat again and got it on video this time. My belly is measuring 2 weeks further a long, I think it's because of pre-existing fat. Other reason could be baby is big (I was a big baby myself at 11 1/2 lbs) or our pregnancy calculations according to my last menstrual period could be off. It could be a number of reasons, but I'm fine and dr was not concerned about it so I won't be either.

Next appointment is on 09/16 and we'll do a glucose test then, which I'll have to be in office for a long time for that testing. I also have a dentist appointment that date too. I think for that date I'll just take off regular time off instead of my FMLA. I hate that I keep taking away from my EIB bank, that time is just for me and baby when he gets here in December!

Next ultrasound will be til I'm 36 weeks, which seems like a long time from now and pretty much right before he gets here!! We're still talking about doing the 3D u/s, I'm convinced and want to, but Carlos doesn't want to.

24 Weeks and 2 Days

Me in my "giddy up" top! lol I love the colors and I better wear the top now while I can, because I'm sure the belly will keep growing and growing. I wonder how big I'll get at the end.
